Guardian Angel

 

O Holy Angel, since my birth 

you have been my protector. 

 Today I give you my heart, 

give it to my Savior Jesus 

to whom it should belong only.

You are my protector in life: 

you too be my comforter in death.  

Strengthen my faith, 

make my hope firm, 

kindle in me, Divine love.

Grant me not to be disturbed by the past life, 

not to be frightened by the present, 

not to be afraid of the future. 

Strengthen me in the fight of death, 

spare me for patience, preserve peace for me.

Obtain for me the grace that 

my last nourishment is the Holy Eucharist, 

my last words Jesus, Mary, Joseph, 

my last breath of love and

 your presence my last consolation.

 O Saint Michael the Archangel, 

who defended in heaven the throne of the Lord,

 defend and guard on earth the Roman Pontiff, 

Head of the Catholic Church.
